Cocktail search and home-bar companion

MixLab

A cocktail app that starts with what is already on the shelf.

Project story

Why it exists.

MixLab has the right product hook for a cocktail app: do not make the user browse forever when they only have gin, lime, and mint at home.

The app pairs atmosphere with utility. The landing page creates the mood, while the drink grid, filters, home-bar panel, saved state, and random button do the work.

It feels like a product because the interface answers a real evening question: what can I make without running back to the store?

Direction

How the idea becomes usable.

Home-bar matching

Ingredient chips and shelf matching turn the catalog into a practical recommendation surface.

Moody brand front door

The landing page gives MixLab a dark, premium food-and-drink identity before the user enters the app.

Drink discovery loop

Search, filters, random selection, details, and saved drinks support both planning and impulse browsing.

Hosting Path

The current shape is friendly to static hosting. A production version could keep the front end simple, then add API routes only where the workflow needs live data.
