Local-first memory archive

Chain of Memories

A personal AI archive that makes memory searchable, local, and alive again.

Chain of Memories interface preview

Project story

Why it exists.

Chain of Memories has a clear product idea: old conversations should not become dead logs. They should become a local archive someone can search, revisit, annotate, and understand through different lenses.

The newest capture set makes that structure visible: Memory Stream, Search/Wiki, Persona Lens, and Import/Export all read as working surfaces instead of loose concept art.

The deeper value is the archive posture. Raw data, cleaned memory, wiki views, and companion interpretation can live side by side without turning private history into throwaway chat storage.

Direction

How the idea becomes usable.

Memory Stream first

The main screen makes saved reflections browseable through large cards, dates, summaries, companions, and bookmarks.

Companion lenses

Different assistants act as interpretive modes over the same archive, giving the product emotional and cognitive range.

Local-first archive plan

The architecture separates raw source, normalized memory data, and experience layers so private history does not become throwaway chat storage.

Hosting Path

The interface shell can host as a static front end, while real data, auth, import/export, and private records would move behind serverless routes or a managed backend.
